VIBRATION LEVELS

Hand arm vibration syndrome (HAVS) has become of increasing concern within the construction industry. The condition commonly affects people who regularly use power tools, potentially causing painful and disabling disorders of the blood vessels, nerves and joints.

When purchasing tool hire equipment Beaver Tool Hire's policy is to select products with reduced vibration levels.

To better understand and manage the risks associated with HAVS, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) website offers useful information and resources, including a Vibration Exposure Calculator.
